The Defence Attaché of the United Kingdom visits the Cyber ​​Security Academy of JODDB

The Defence Attaché of the United Kingdom to the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan, Brig Gen Jimmy Pigott, visited the Cyber ​​Security Academy of Jordan Design and Development Bureau (JODDB), accompanied by Mr. Sebastian Madden and Ms. Wafaa Al-Nimri, representatives of the British partner of the Academy, PGI of UK, and Mrs. Rana Al-Kilani from Al-Rana Consulting and Training Company on Monday the 6th of June, 2021. 

 He was received by the GM of the Cyber ​​Security Academy, The delegation had a brief about the state of art facilities available at the Academy ( the rig and range). The delegation also received a presentation showed  the technical capabilities and training programs that the Academy provides to build skills, knowledge as well as competencies for the trainers in the field of cybersecurity and artificial intelligence.

At the end of the meeting, it was confirmed by the delegation that the academy is a center of excellence and an incubator of creativity for training in all areas that are specialized in cybersecurity within the region, especially by its reliance on training and practical application for trainees and the accreditation of the certificate issued by it through GHQ in Britain, and the Academy’s plan was discussed to develop special training programs in cybersecurity directed to refining the skills of retired members of the armed forces to benefit from their accumulated experiences in the labor market after the retirement stage, as well as developing special training programs directed to the females and different age groups.

 Lastly, It is worth mentioning that JODDB Launched an academy that is specialized in training and services that cover all the areas of cybersecurity in 2019, in partnership with PGI the world's largest specialized company in this field, and accredited by the British government.
